En route, stop to visit the Awantipura ruins, home to a 1,100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Upon arrival in Pahalgam, you'll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure, or you may choose to visit the Himalayan Cheese Factory, run by Chris Zandee, where you can sample locally-made Kalari cheese with flavors like walnut, cumin, mustard, and blackberry (optional).
