Day 01 Arrival in Tashkent

Flight Time: 3.7 hrs

 Distance: 1,600 km

Upon your arrival at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. After settling in, take some time to rest before heading out for a spin. 

Starting off with a light exploration of Amir Timur Square, named after the revered conqueror Amir Timur, who remains a significant figure in Uzbekistan’s history. This central square is surrounded by fountains, gardens and major buildings, such as the Amir Timur Museum which houses fascinating exhibits on the Timurid dynasty.

 Enjoy the taste of authentic Uzbek cuisine at a nearby restaurant, relish on classic dishes like plov, and shashlik.

Day 02 Full day Tashkent Tour

The next day starts early, as we embark on a full-day city tour of this bustling city. First up is the Khast Imam Complex, a historical spiritual centre where the ancient Uthman Quran is preserved. The stunning mosaics, intricate tile work, and blue-domed mosques reflect the region's rich heritage. 

Following this, visit the evergreen Chorsu Bazaar, the largest market and a vibrant spot for locals and visitors. Explore rows of stalls filled with fragrant spices, fresh herbs and handicrafts. Take the opportunity to try some fresh samsa, a delicious pastry filled with meat or vegetables, as you soak in the lively atmosphere.

Day 03 Historical Exploration

Delve into the Soviet-era influences of Tashkent. Start at Independence Square, a symbol of Uzbekistan's modern history. It is a beautifully landscaped area with fountains, lush greenery and important statues. Explore the Museum of Applied Arts, which displays exquisite Uzbek textiles, ceramics and jewellery.

Take a break for lunch at a cosy local café. Later, stop by the Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet Theatre, an iconic venue dating back to the Soviet period. If shows are available, you can also attend an evening performance that offers a unique cultural experience.

Day 04 Tour the Natural Beauty

After an early breakfast, we set out for an adventure to the Chimgan Mountains, around 85 kilometres from Tashkent and a popular destination known for its natural beauty. Enroute, enjoy a scenic hike amidst snow-capped peaks, thick forests and tranquil valleys.

 Take in breathtaking views of the lush landscapes and stop by Charvak Lake, a serene turquoise reservoir where you can unwind by the shore in peace and try activities like boating or jet skiing.

 Return to Tashkent in the evening, feeling rejuvenated by the fresh mountain air, and indulge in a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant, followed by an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 05 Cultural Getaway

Dive into Tashkent’s scholastic and cultural offerings. Explore the Tashkent Metro, known for its grandly decorated stations that showcase the artistry of Russian subway stations. Visit the Tashkent State Museum of History, where you can immerse yourself in exhibitions and explore the rich tapestry of Central Asian history, from ancient civilizations to the modern Silk Road. 

In the afternoon, head to Kukeldash Madrasah, a 16th-century Islamic school that has played a vital role in Uzbekistan’s cultural and spiritual life. Put an end to the day by visiting a local tea house to savour traditional Uzbek teas and pastries, showcasing Uzbekistan’s historic tea culture.

Day 06 Final Deeds and Departure

On the final day, enjoy a leisurely morning with a stroll through one of Tashkent’s beautiful parks or markets, perhaps revisiting Chorsu Bazaar to pick up last-minute souvenirs. 

Spend your time reflecting on your journey through Tashkent before advancing to the airport for your departure, leaving with a wealth of memories from Uzbekistan’s vibrant and historically rich capital.
