Upon arrival at the Tbilisi airport, our representative will welcome you and guide you to your hotel room. After checking processes are concluded you can relax for a while, before we dive into the heart of the city’s Old Town.
Start by exploring Narikala Fortress, which is perched on a hill offering panoramic views of the entire city. From here, walk down to the iconic sulfur baths, a historical thermal bathhouse that is considered a part of tradition.
Take a stroll through Rustaveli Avenue, where you can enjoy the vibrant mix of historic and modern buildings and end the day with a traditional Georgian dinner in a local restaurant, before returning back to the hotel.
Begin your day with a scenic drive to Mtskheta, the ancient capital and spiritual heart of Georgia. Visit the UNESCO listed Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where Georgia’s first Christian church was established. Also, don’t miss the Jvari Monastery, located on the edge of a hilltop with incredible views over the convergence of two rivers.
After exploring these vivid attractions, head back to Tbilisi to explore the Dry Bridge Market, known for antiques and unique local crafts, a perfect place for picking up souvenirs.
Embark on a full day excursion to Kazbegi, known for its stunning mountain scenery and home to iconic attractions. Drive along the Georgian Military Highway and stop by the Ananuri Fortress, a beautiful castle overlooking a reservoir.
Once you reach Stepantsminda, take a vehicle up to Gergeti Trinity Church, a historical church with a dramatic backdrop of Mount Kazbek. Enjoy trekking with fresh mountain air and breathtaking landscapes before heading back to Tbilisi for an evening stay at the hotel.
Travel to the wine region of Kakheti, where Georgia’s ancient winemaking tradition thrives. Start with a tour of the wine units and vineyards in Sighnaghi, known as the “City of Love” due to its charming streets and beautiful viewpoints.
Participate in a wine tasting session to sample traditional qvevri wines, aged in large clay pots. In the evening. Enjoy a Kakhetian feast which is savoured with toasts, led by a local tamada (toastmaster) and to top it off, there will be arrangements for live performances as well.
After an early breakfast, head west from Tbilisi to Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave city dating back to the early Iron Age. Walk through its tunnels, halls and pagan temples carved into a single rock, and gain insights on the impressive history of this unique archaeological site.
The journey continues with a visit to Gori, the birthplace of JosephStalin. Tour the Stalin Museum and visit the Gori fortress, to learn more about Georgia’s complex history. After a full day of exploring, return to Tbilisi for a relaxing evening in the city.
Spend your final day in Tbilisi discovering the city’s artistic and culinary scene. Visit the National Museum of Georgia, showcasing artefacts from ancient and mediaeval Georgia. Also explore the charming neighbourhood of Sololaki, known for its colourful buildings. Stop by local cafes to sample some Georgian pastries and freshly brewed coffee.
In the evening, wrap up your Georgian adventure with a farewell dinner, toasting with chacha and enjoying a final taste of this rich, vibrant culture before heading to the airport for your return flight back home.
