A 4 Day Trip with Wanderers

Varanasi is famous for its ghats and temples. Take a boat ride at sunrise or sunset to witness the beautyof the Ganges river. Visit the Kashi Vishwanathtemple, Sankat Mochan temple and other populartemples. Don’t forget to try the local street food.

Day 01 Arrival &Check-in

Airport pickup around 12, reach hotel around 2, Pickup from hotel at 4 PM:
Today we will visit ancient Tulsi Das mandir where Ramcharit Manas written followed by the evening boat ride from Assi ghat.
Boat will go all the way to Manikarnika and finish back at Assi ghat after attending evening Aarti at Dashashwamedh ghat.

Day 02 Sightseeing

8 AM: Vishwanath Ji pilgrimage: This part will include visit to Vishwanath Mandir and a few other temples part of the Vishwanath Ji pilgrimage starting with visit to Kaal Bhairav ji and then moving to Baba Vishwanath Mandir.
This part of the tour will finish around 12. If the guests like to try different food options then Baati-Chokha at Angoori restaurant is a must otherwise lunch back at the hotel, afternoon relaxation.
3.30 to 5.30 - (Leisure activities.) Shopping for the famous Banarasi Sarees, trying local street food or just exploring the lanes of Banaras.
6 PM : Aarti at Kedar Mandir. As per Kashi Khand chapter of Skand Purana the sacred city of Kashi is divided into three different regions - Omkareshwar Khand, Visheshwar Khand and Kedareshwar Khand. Each Khand has its own Khand Pradhan Devta. In this context Vishwanath Ji is Khand Pradhan Devta of Vishweshwar Khand, Kedar Ji is Khand Pradhan Devta of Kedar Khand and Omakreshwar Mahadev is Khand Pradhan Devta of Omakreshwar Khand. We will attend evening Aarti at Kedar Ji today (6 PM), back to the hotel.

Day 03 Aarti at Assi ghat and Sarnath

5.30 AM : Subah-e-Banaras - Attend morning Aarti at Assi ghat. A group of young girl Sanskrit students perform Yagya while the Aarti is going on.
Breakfast at hotel or if the guests want them some local Banarasi breakfast (Kachori -Jalebi) can be arranged.
Start for Sarnath at 10 AM. It is a 45 minutes drive from the old city, there are three main attractions - Archeological Site, Museum and Sri lanka Buddhist temple. Sarnath is also the birth and enlightenment place of the 11th Jain Tirthankar and a visit to the Jain temple can also be included if the guests want.
Visit Omkareshwar Mahadev on the way back to the hotel (After having Darshan at Omkareshwar, all three Khand Pradhan Devta will be completed).
Reach hotel around 2.30. Afternoon break.
Evening at Leisure.

Day 04 Depature and Farewell

As your trip comes to an end, take time to reflect on the beauty and spirituality of Varanasi. Say farewell to the city and its people.
