Drive from Srinagar to Shitkadi, covering 87 km in 2.5-3 hours. Make sure to start from Srinagar TRC latest by 1.30pm to reach in time. Arrive and meet your trek guide and team. Overnight stay in Shitkadi campsite.
Ascend towards Shokdhari top through scenic Himalayan Birch and Pine forests. Enjoy views of the Thajiwas Glacier. Continue to Nichnai campsite, surrounded by lush greenery.
Altitude: 3450m to 3650m via 4100m.
Start with a steep climb to Nichnai Pass, offering panoramic views. Descend to Vishansar Lake, where you can enjoy the serene waters and stunning landscapes. Overnight at Vishansar Lake campsite.
Trek past Vishansar Lake and ascend towards Gadsar Pass at 13,800 feet. View both Vishansar and Kishansar lakes from the pass. Descend to Gadsar, where you’ll camp amidst vibrant meadows.
Ascend to Maigan Top, crossing the Satsar army base and several small lakes. Enjoy the scenic beauty and rest at the Maigan Top campsite.
Navigate boulder patches and steep trails to reach Zach Pass. Descend to Nandkol Lake, a beautiful site with views of Mount Harmukh. Camp by the lake and take in the serene surroundings.
Descend from Nandkol Lake through meadows and forested areas. Reach Naranag village, where transport will take you back to Srinagar.
