An engineer by education but an explorer at heart, Devjit Acharya has spent the last two decades building experiences that connect people, places, and passions. As the co-founder of Wanderers, he brings together his love for the open road, meaningful conversations, and the simple joy of discovering the world one ride at a time.
Devjit’s journey from boardrooms to backroads has been driven by curiosity — for landscapes, cultures, and food. While not a trained chef, he’s a lifelong student of flavours, often found experimenting in kitchens or hunting down local eateries that tell the story of a region through its plate.
Through Wanderers, he curates journeys that blend adventure with authenticity — where participants aren’t just travellers, but storytellers. His vision is to make every trip more than a route: a shared experience of freedom, friendship, and the thrill of being on the move.
For Devjit, Wanderers isn’t just about travel. It’s about building a community that celebrates curiosity, camaraderie, and the spirit of the road — one unforgettable mile at a time.

We had a fantastic time on the trip. The overnight locations were great - cannot complain much, given where we were. I do want to call out Bijay - fantastic guy, he was absolutely amazing - focussed on ensuring we had the best trek and the most comfortable stays. I don't think we could've done it without him.

Wanderers are travel planners with a ♥️ heart! their personal touch & attention to detail is truly commendable! Despite structured itinerary there was ample 'me time' and a feeling of freedom which is how I like my break from work. Good job Wanderers for a splendid holiday and a lifetime of amazing memories!

I'm very happy I chose to go on the women's trip to Leh Ladakh with Wanderers. The itinerary was well designed to ensure that we were able to acclimatise to the altitude. All throughout, the care and professionalism were obvious. I had the chance to experience Ladakh's amazing beauty and varied landscape along with the culture and warmth of the people of Ladakh. I also made beautiful friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

A group of us, 4 friends from Singapore, went to Leh / Ladakh (Tso Moriri, Pangong, Nubra Valley among other places) for a week with Wanderers (Devjit) and had the most brilliant time imaginable.Throughout the pre-trip, Devjit would respond to our various queries, and make sure we were comfortable with the logistics. But it was during the trip that the background work Wanderers had put in shone through. I very highly recommend Wanderers, and I hope to do another trip with them in the very near future!!!!!!

Thank you so much team Wanderers for the wonderful outdoors experience. Me, my wife and 8 year old daughter, we all got a wonderful change from our daily lives. We would like to to at least one road trip and two treks each year with you. Post this COVID, we will surely plan a trek with you. Thank you so much guys. ✌️

I recently did a snow expedition in Leh with them and I'll cherish the experience of it for a lifetime. Facebook should start giving the option of 7 star rating - because that is what these 2 gentlemen offer in terms of attention to detail and safety, the passion for travel and exploring.Go wander with them and you will sure love every bit of it.

This is the second time I've trekked with Wanderers. My first trek was Chadar trek and the second was Kedarkantha. They never disappoint us. They had provided a very comfortable stay and very delicious food. The transport commute was also perfectly on time.Trek leaders are very professional and they take proper care of each trekker throughout the trek.I would surely recommend wanderers for my future treks.

There is much more to explore and experience in India than the usual tourist spots, the usual hill stations and the waterfall picture you seen a thousand times in magazines. There is an absolutely new and unexplored India waiting for you to come and discover.
