Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrival in Jodhpur

 Distance: 780 km

 Flight Time: 50 min

Arrive in Jodhpur and get a first glimpse of the “Blue City” as you drive through its blue themed streets. After checking in at your hotel, head out straight to explore the grand Mehrangarh Fort, one of India’s largest and well preserved forts, offering breathtaking views of the city. Wander through the fort’s museum to see artefacts that showcase Jodhpur’s glorious royal past.

Later, visit Jaswant Thada, a serene marble tomb built in honour of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. End your day by strolling through the bustling Sardar Market and Clock Tower. Sample local street food and shop for traditional Rajasthani handicrafts on your way back to the hotel for a needful rest.

Day 02 Local Experiences

After breakfast, explore the Umaid Bhawan Palace, a blend of modern and traditional architecture, where you’ll discover the luxury and grandeur of Jodhpur’s royal heritage.This palace is still the residence of the royal family, and the rest is a museum showcasing vintage cars, royal artefacts and a beautiful collection of historical photos. 

Later, take a guided village safari to experience the rural charm of Bishnoi villages. Witness traditional pottery, handicrafts and the fascinating wildlife conservation practices of the Bishnoi community. 

In the evening, enjoy an authentic Rajasthani meal at one of Jodhpur’s heritage restaurants to relish on the flavours of the region.

Day 03 Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

Embark on a scenic drive from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer, travelling through Rajasthan’s vast deserted landscapes. After checking in at your hotel in Jaisalmer, head out to explore the local markets, where you’ll find beautifully crafted jewellery, textiles and handicrafts.

 Later, visit the Gadisar Lake, a peaceful oasis with intricately carved temples. As the sun dips, the lake’s reflections of the sandstone structures make a magical view. In the evening, immerse yourself in the warm atmosphere of Jaisalmer’s old town and wind up the day enjoying local delicacies. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 04 Jaisalmer Fort and Sand Dunes

Start your day by visiting the iconic Jaisalmer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the serene forts in the world. Wander through the narrow alleys and discover a community of residents, shops and cafes within the fort walls. Visit Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli, the two grand mansions known for their intricate carvings, showcasing the architectural brilliance of Jaisalmer’s golden era. 

In the afternoon, drive to the famous Sam Sand Dunes, where you’ll experience the beauty of Rajasthan’s desert landscapes. Enjoy camel safari through the rolling dunes and soak in the dramatic views of the sunset. In the evening, indulge in a traditional Rajasthani dinner accompanied by folk music and live dance performances at a desert camp.

Day 05 Local Exploration and Departure

On your last day, embark on an early visit to the Jain Temples within Jaisalmer Fort. Afterward, explore the desert heritage museum to learn about the history and culture of Jaisalmer and the lives of its desert communities. 

Later, spend some time shopping for souvenirs like handcrafted embroideries, textiles and jewellery crafted by local artisans. Return back to your hotel room and relax for sometime, before bidding farewell to the Golden City.

After checking out, you will be escorted to the airport, from where you will board a flight for your journey back home, with memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.
