The Annapurna Circuit Trek is widely regarded as one of the most scenic and diverse trekking routes in the world. Spanning a distance of 85 kilometers, this trek offers adventurers a chance to witness some of the Himalayas’ most majestic peaks, including Annapurna I (8,091 meters), Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters), Manaslu (8,156 meters), and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) at 6,993 meters. As you traverse the Annapurna Circuit, you’ll journey through a wide range of landscapes, from subtropical forests and rice paddies to alpine meadows and glacial zones.
Starting in the lush Marshyangdi River valley and concluding in the arid Kali Gandaki gorge, the Annapurna Circuit Trek takes you over the Thorong La Pass, which at 17,770 feet is the highest point of the trek. The trail also brings you to the sacred Muktinath Temple, revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to explore traditional villages, engage with the local culture, and experience the warm hospitality of the Nepalese people.

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel in Thamel. After settling in, join your trekking group for an introductory briefing. Later, explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, where you can shop for any last-minute trekking gear and enjoy local cuisine.

We start off with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit. The drive takes you through picturesque foothills along the Trishuli River, offering stunning views of snow-capped mountains and traditional Nepalese villages.

Experience an adventurous drive along mountain roads to Chame, the starting point of your trek. The drive, though bumpy, is filled with breathtaking views of the Marshyangdi River, cascading waterfalls, and lush forests.

Begin your trek through dense forests of oaks and rhododendrons. The trail leads you through the Marshyangdi Valley, offering glimpses of Yak pastures and green meadows. The day ends at Pisang, where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset.

Today's trek takes you through several traditional villages, including Narodhara, Humde, and Mugje. The trail offers cultural insights as you pass by Buddhist shrines and monasteries. The day concludes at Manang, a picturesque town surrounded by towering peaks.

Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude in Manang. You can take a day hike to an icy lake above Bhraka or visit the Chongkor viewpoint for stunning views. This rest day is essential for preparing your body for the higher altitudes to come.

The trek continues through Mani walls, yak pastures, and rugged terrain as you ascend to Yak Kharka. The landscape becomes more barren, with fewer trees and more alpine vegetation. Enjoy views of peaks like Chulu and Thorong along the way.

Today, you'll trek to the highest campsite of the journey at Thorong Phedi. The ascent is gradual but steady, offering spectacular views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges. Depending on the group's acclimatization, you may push on to the High Camp.

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. Start early to cross the Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit. After reaching the pass, descend to Muktinath, a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Visit the holy Muktinath Temple in the morning, then begin your descent to Jomsom. The trail follows the Kali Gandaki River, passing through the village of Kagbeni. Jomsom is a bustling town with stunning views of Dhaulagiri.

After breakfast, take a short flight to Pokhara. This scenic flight offers unparalleled views of the Annapurna range. Upon arrival in Pokhara, relax by the serene Phewa Lake or explore the town's lively markets.

Drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the beautiful landscapes along the way. Once in Kathmandu, you can rest or explore more of the city's attractions. In the evening, gather with your trekking group for a closing ceremony.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your departure, bringing an end to your unforgettable Annapurna Circuit Trek adventure.
